Illinizas has two peaks which top out at 5,120 meters and 5,266 meters above sea level. Its impressive beauty and its difficult access makes it a challenge for the climbers and adventures. Its ecological reserve, (21000 ha =51,891.92 acres) has a huge forest and is home to many animals of Ecuador

Saquisili is only fifteen minutes from Hosteria San Mateo. This famous fair takes place every Thursday. People travel from far away to buy, sell and exchange livestock, product and their handcrafts in this picturesque Indian market.
You find famous dancers that derive their names from the same area.
Their costumes are very colorful, adorned with feathers and mirrors.
